I was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama by two parents who were constantly asking themselves how their daughter made such big messes. My mother was constantly trying to give me studio space that did not expand into every possible room. I have been drawing and painting and making things since I can remember. When my dad got his first glue gun, my mind exploded with possibilities! I hot-glued everything and anything. Both my paternal and maternal grandmothers were artists and makers. I inherited a combination of artist and maker. I think that is why I fell so in love with ceramics when I was first introduced because it is a delicate combination of art and making things that are functional. I still love to paint and sew and make gigantic messes. Catch up with me here or on any social platforms to see what I am destroying next.

I am a full-time high school art teacher and wife and mom to the family of my dreams. Just ask me and I will brag shamelessly.

thanks for stopping by,
